Why Join?

FFA has three different types of learning opportunities to be involved in while a member. This program design is called the Three Component Model including leadership, classroom instruction, and supervised agricultural experience. Leadership includes the career and leadership development events members participate in, for example, general livestock judging or prepared public speaking, along with leadership roles and camps/conferences members attend. Classroom instruction is what students learn from their agricultural teacher at school everyday. Finally, supervised agricultural experience is putting what they have learned from leadership experiences and in school instruction to work. Members work for a range of local agricultural businesses and/ or are entrepreneurs in a field that interests them.
